JOY Organisation

How does this make you feel?

From chaos, indifference, fear, lack, and uncertainty to awareness, connection, alignment, fulfilment, and abundance! Yes Please!

Wealth and wellbeing is our ability to enjoy and experience life in all its facets and to freely express our souls in ways that gives us joy! And it is not destined for only a few.

We are not here to only exist, or to work hard, or to work to make or earn a living, or to make money. We are already alive and are here to live life fully.

Human beings are social, expressive, and creative creatures. We have this innate drive to feel good, and the need to express and share our soul, presence, ideas, insights, talents, abilities, discoveries, knowledge, creations, and contributions with others.

img

It is all about the experience

Sadly, we forgot who is central to living and organising ourselves to bring our ideas into being and to share our talents, wisdom, passions, energy, and abilities. We lost connection with the human being part, thus being, which includes our ability to feel, sense, connect, embody, presence, enjoy, relate, think, intuit, imagine, explore, create, and share.

In a do-have-be, idea-centric world, we put the cart before the horse, with so much attention and importance on the do, what, and how parts. We focus on quantity, products, and services, and not on the type of experience they provide to those who participate in making them real, those receiving them, and their impact on the environment.

No wonder so many people do not enjoy what they do, their hearts and souls are not nourished, and their inner genius is not stimulated. They feel misunderstood, unappreciated, overwhelmed, disconnected, dissatisfied, exhausted, and not seen, heard, received, and recognised. Stress, burnout, depression, and even suicidal thoughts the result. As within, so without, the impact is clearly visible in our effect and impact on each other, Nature, and our natural resources.

A flourishing ecosystem and organisation need to be a fertile, stimulating, fluid, and nourishing space to explore, create, play, work, and learn together, where the being and doing aspects play together in harmony and are in balance.

What else is Possible?

No need to feel ashamed or guilty, how can we organise ourselves to bring about balance within our lives, organisations, businesses, institutions, groups, and communities? And how can we choose differently, organise, and innovate in harmony with Nature? With the following questions, such as, ‘What now? Whereto from here? What will happen next? How to make decisions? How to plan? What can the new ‘normal’ possibly be?’ so prevalent now, we can take a moment to orientate ourselves.

The current world events took humanity by surprise, as none of it could be predicted or planned for, resulting in much fear and uncertainty. Yet, such transitions and paradigm shifts are not new to humanity. Any new, emerging era brings with it treasures, insights, and growth to be discovered and experienced. These transitions invited humanity to think, see, feel, relate, engage, behave, do, organise, play, learn, and work together in different ways. The 21st century is no different. Even though humanity is not clear yet what this new century will gift us with, we can be welcoming, excited, aware, engaging, ready, and willing to explore and respond to what emergences and unfolds. Moreover, we can organise for total wellbeing, joy, abundance, and fulfilment for all.

Shall we do a quick organisational vibe check? Are you organising for wellbeing, abundance, fulfilment, and joy?

Some perspective

Peace of mind, heart, and body is available to us when we take a pause to look at humanity’s path through the last few centuries. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to rejuvenate, review, renew, regroup, and realign. In this way we can orientate and organise ourselves, our thoughts, feelings, ideas, visions, goals, organisations, initiatives, projects, groups, teams, communities, networks, and ecosystems in the most life-affirming, energising, sure-footed, flowing, focused, fluid, meaningful, and fulfilling ways in the present moment.

Think of the farmer’s ‘world’ and experiential landscape in the agricultural era in 17th and 18th century. Physical strength, fortitude, and a close relationship with Nature, the elements, and seasons were needed to thrive.  Now take a leap into the 19th century and the industrial era. The world of specialisation and the factory worker, where precision, discipline, and repetition were required, causing the rise of management and control. And take another jump into the 20th century, where after the droughts, depression, and world wars, the world had to be rebuilt. Abilities such as strategic thinking and planning were in demand. Another leap into the latter part of the 20th century, the information and knowledge era brought about by technological advances, required abilities such as logic, analysis, critical thinking, problem-solving, and scenario planning. In each era humanity had to organise and work together in new and different ways.

Here and Now

In the early 21st century, with advances in communication, humans become aware of our interconnectedness and impact on each other and our planet, thus how we relate to and treat each other, our planet, and all living creatures. Whole system, conceptual and creative thinking, versatility, and aware and conscious relating and living, become key to our overall wellbeing. No matter what we call this new age, whether the conceptual and awareness age, or something else, management, control, strategy, planning, problem solving, critical thinking, logic, and analysis no longer enable us to seamlessly and harmoniously work, create, play, and learn together in a coherent, synchronised, aligned and fertile whole.

The power of choice

Reactive behaviour and making decisions out of fear, lack, anxiety, pressure, and stress is detrimental to our personal wellbeing and that of our people, organisations, institutions, groups, and communities. Our disposition ( how we approach and respond to change), attitude, and willingness to expand our frames of reference and experiment with other perspectives and possibilities, will assist us to harness and ride the winds of change with childlike wonder and fearlessness, and to navigate the unexpected and not-so-familiar with curiosity and delight. Being caring, involved, inquisitive, connected, attentive, responsive, resourceful (creative and conceptual thinking), adaptive, flexible, agile, aware, open, and receptive to emerging and new paradigms (ways of being, living, connecting, relating, engaging, moving, coming and working together, knowing, learning, co-creating, sharing, exchanging, etc.) will assist us to harness the most viable scenarios at this time. Our creative and innovative spirits thrive when we experiment with new, sometimes unorthodox ways of organising ourselves, ideas, projects, people, etc.

Organising for joy

Welcome to the Joy Generation. We are in the business of joy, abundance, meaning, fulfilment, and possibilities. It gives us great pleasure to partner with organisations to organise, regroup, prepare, and align for quality of life and wellbeing of all, humanity, our beautiful planet, and all living creatures and organisms.

We are excited about the next level of organisation emerging at this time and how together, we can explore and experiment with possibilities and the realisation of personal, relational, and organisational potential in this regard.

Together with esteemed global partners, we are spearheading an international inquiry and action-based research into the next level of organisation and the way we humans organise ourselves. You are welcome to connect and respond with this Expression of Interest, should you and your organisation resonate and want to participate and contribute to this endeavour.

Our Wholesomeness and Whole System-Centric Joy Organisational Landscape

Times of transition are filled to the brim with vibrant and potent possibilities. Organisational design became idea-centric in the past centuries. It caused us to innovate and organise misaligned with Nature and the true nature of human beings.  We can now organise for quality of life for all and wholesomeness. We can now foster and embody a new awareness and relationship with each other and Nature, and bring Humanness back into the work, creative, innovation, play, and learning landscapes.

Here at the Joy Generation we follow a fresh, unconventional, and novel approach to assist individuals and organisations, no matter the type, to harness whole person and whole system paradigms, and how to embrace, respond to, approach, harness, and align with emergent patterns and paradigms, whilst being responsive to the wellbeing of our people on all levels, orchestrating coherence, fostering meaningful relationships, and staying in flow, focused and committed to realizing intentions, aspirations, strategies, visions, missions, and goals.

Preparation meets Flourishing

Lead, Interpret, and Align with Awareness

The word lead comes from the Latin word ‘laed’, which means to navigate into the distant horizon, thus, to take our people somewhere. We have been confusion leadership with power-driven roles such as authoritarian rulership and management. We live in a time where we cannot control much and where rulership is being challenged. Rulership was alive at a time of monarchies, with its purpose to rule people or a region, thus make decisions on their behalf. Management, which birthed during the Industrial Era, is operational, functional, and role orientated, with its purpose is to control and manage others. In the 21st century, both these roles are outdated and have no place. Both were internally focused, and about protecting, controlling, and increasing assets and belongings.

In the 21st century we find ourselves in a time of transition into a new era. Navigating rapid changes and unexpected events, we cannot plan much, let alone make decisions, and execute strategies and missions that birthed with industrial era and rulership like thinking. Leadership in times of transitions gives justice to its true meaning. It does not focus on solving problems and finding solutions. Rather, leadership explores other possibilities and responds, acts, and interacts beyond labels and roles. Leadership requires expanded awareness, whole system thinking and sense-shifting (not the same as making sense) to enable us to explore, harness, and interpret emerging new patterns and opportunities, navigate unexpected events, embrace, and align to rapid changes, orchestrate, and inspire generative, aligned, synchronised, and coherent actions and interaction, and co-create a space where others can flourish. This seems like quite a task, as actualising our visions and goals should be our focus? Yet, it is not an either/or situation and is all possible when we have a LIA-Partner.

A LIA (Lead and Align with Awareness) Partner is Transition Partner, and not a coach, advisor, or consultant and does not tell us what to do. Besides being a trusted sounding board, a LIA-Partner makes us aware of what we have not considered, assists us to make connections between aspects that are not-so-obvious, stimulates unconventional ways of thinking, catalyses and stimulate our whole-system, creative, and conceptual thinking abilities, nourishes our sense-shifting abilities, assists us to interpret signs from the environment and emerging paradigms, creates a trusting and fertile space to experiment with and simulate appropriate alignment and coherence strategies, assists us to articulate and introduce new ways in a creative and meaningful way, supports us to realign our activities, assists us in exploring other possibilities during our decision-making processes, and ensures our own personal wellbeing is taken care off.

MIA Workshop (Mentor and Inspire with Awareness)

Mentor and Inspire with Awareness

Humanity has come a long way since the Industrial Era in the 19th Century where mechanization required precision, repetition, delivery within specific timeframes, and control to ensure this. Besides the workplace landscape fast transforming, unfulfilled and stressed people, and the huge gap between Management and Leadership, in the 21st century we cannot predict and control much, standard business processes and procedures no longer work, do not have time for lengthy and costly development programs, need new skillsets and abilities, and can no longer afford to make experts managers to control others. With rapid changes and innovations, unexpected events, and the need to mobilise ourselves and align to emerging patterns, our people require the ability to thrive in any situation, and thus need mentorship and guidance, not management. Instead of making experts or those who excel in their area managers to control others, we can harness their functional expertise whilst enabling them to become mentors and guides. In this process we enable reciprocal cross-pollination and cross-stimulation of new skillsets and abilities that goes beyond functional and technical expertise, such as whole-system thinking, critical thinking, creative thinking, emotional intelligence, people skills, and coordinating with others.

During our MIA (Mentor and Inspire with Awareness) Workshops we get the opportunity to gently transform from Managers to Mentors, and to ignite, stimulate and practically apply 21st century skills and abilities. Besides mentoring and guiding others to thrive beyond functional expertise and roles, the opportunity to truly make an impact, contribute to, and co-create a better environment and world for all versus merely controlling others, creates a sense of fulfilment, meaning, purpose, and self-honouring that is not possible otherwise. One person flowering in all their talents and abilities is the flowering of all and of the organization. Managing and control is a fulltime job and alienates us from our co-workers. Mentoring others not only creates the opportunity to get to know each other on a deeper and more authentic level and to work and co-create together in a new way, it also creates mutual trust and confidence that is rare in the workplace. With more time available, mentors can now expand and improve their own functional expertise and contributions, and can nourish, stimulate, and strengthen their own personal development and growth goals.

In these workshops we explore, stimulate, nourish, strengthen, and integrate our:

  • Self- Lead Ability (Self-Awareness)
  • Relate-Ability (Awareness of Others)
  • Sense-Ability (Awareness of Organisation and the World)
  • Response-Ability (Align Abilities)
  • Interact- Ability (Engage Abilities)
  • Action- Ability (Enact Abilities)
  • Embrace-Ability (Change and Integration Abilities)

GIA Workshops (Guide and Impact with Awareness)

Guide and Impact with Awareness

Education and teaching might be fraught with challenges, criticism, and outdated paradigms. However, during challenging times some of the best opportunities for innovation and creativity emerge. Educators need to continuously align and demonstrate vision, understanding, integrity, energy, passion, dedication, devotion, commitment, honesty, and fairness. As an educator you may receive training on subject matter and tuition methods, yet some of them still originated during the Industrial Era. Homogeneous education and standardised testing emerged during this time where precision, repetition, and subject matter expertise were favoured and needed.

With information and knowledge freely available in multiple formats, media, expressions, and applications, we no longer live in such a world. The role of an educator in the 21st century and their sphere of influence have been completely underestimated. It transformed from merely imparting and sharing knowledge and evaluating the level of understanding, to that of a trusted, connected, aware, compassionate, and caring guide, mentor, and role model.

Not to evaluate, rather to elevate, they nurture, stimulate, and support self-awareness and self-worth, shape self-image, shape and expand the perception and experience of self, other, life, form/content, object/relation, sensation, resonance, imagination, action, and interaction. They provide a nourishing and safe space, and guide learners to fully discover and express themselves freely.

They initiate an evolutionary growth process from Sense and Respond to Nurture and Sustain to Individuate and Act, which leads to a balanced, abundant, wholesome, self-reliant, and self-sufficient adulthood of inclusion, harmony, integration, consolidation, embracing, and the embodiment of an actualised self, and a conscious, connected, meaningful, purposeful, and fulfilling contribution to the world.

Educators thus lay the foundation for self-leadership, self-actualization, and self-empowerment. They guide, mentor, inspire, motivate, enthuse, energize, explore, identify, develop, and initiate possible answers to questions such as “How am I?”, “Why am I here?”, “What is that I want to do?”, “How can I do it?”. Besides being fulfilling to impact other humans’ lives in this way, no other career has so much responsibility, power, and is so significant. Thus, we can no longer ignore the personal wellbeing, growth, and personal potential realization of an educator. We can only guide what is nourished and stimulated within ourselves, and what we are aware of. Educators are no longer teachers only. They are shapers of a better life for all.

During our GIA (Guide and Impact with Awareness) Workshops, educators, tutors, and carers get the opportunity to transform from educators to guides. Becoming a guide is complementary to and can easily be integrated into formal teaching methods and processes. The purpose of our GIA Workshops is to enable educators to successfully embody the multifaceted roles, abilities, and skillsets, (beyond functional and subject matter expertise) required in the 21st century and to navigate, respond to, interpret, experiment with, and integrate emerging paradigms without disrupting the flow.

We artfully, creatively, and skilfully explore:

  • The expanded learning landscape,
  • The current impact landscape,
  • The evolutionary process of Sense and Respond,
  • The evolutionary process of Nurture and Sustain,
  • The evolutionary process of Individuate and Act,
  • Increased self-awareness and awareness of others,
  • Conscious impact on sphere of influence,
  • Cultivating confidence and trust,
  • Exploring possibilities and creating opportunities,
  • Harnessing resourcefulness and acting with awareness,
  • Finding meaning and purpose,
  • Unlocking greatness, elevating dispositions, and nurturing potential
  • Self-Care, self-regulation, and fulfilment
  • 21st century skillsets such as whole-system, creative, and conceptual thinking, sensory awareness, and embodiment techniques

From Survival to Flourishing

From Survival to Flourishing

A desire to do things differently and live with more awareness, arises when we become aware of inequalities and our impact on each other, the environment, our beautiful planet, and all living creatures. Our awareness begins to expand beyond ourselves and our organisations/businesses and rises to global and planetary awareness. Yet, whereto from here when we have such an intention? How can we track our impact and footprint? How can we seamlessly integrate such an intention with our current strategies, plans, and activities? Moreover, how can we regroup, realign, and reorganise ourselves to contribute to personal, organisational, and planetary wellbeing for all?

In these workshops we explore the wonders and opportunities for quality of life and wellbeing for all, when personal, organisational, and planetary awareness and potential come together to be explored, embraced, and experimented with. Through essential inquiry, collaborative dreaming beyond labels and roles, and creative open innovation, we are able to give life to life-affirming new blueprints for how we can organise ourselves and innovate to manifest and realise our intentions, goals, and potential, in harmony with Nature, our own true nature, and emerging patterns and paradigms.

From Crisis Management to Intentional Direction

img

From Crisis Management to Intentional Direction

Cutting costs, retrenching co-workers, closing operations, and businesses, and expecting increased efficiency, seems like the most logical things to do when we need to deal with the unexpected, restrictions, and disruptions.  It is easy to focus on what is not working, what we lack, and what we perceive to work against us.

In these workshops we discover the indestructible life-force of the organisation and how to intentionally direct it, no matter the conditions or circumstances, to create a sense of calmness, clarity, confidence, trust, enthusiasm, curiosity, and stability.

From Strategy Execution to Alignment Navigation

img

From Strategy Execution to Alignment Navigation

Much of what we used to rely on and which we considered stable, are now falling away. We cannot predict the future based on past trends and patterns. In a rapid, ever-changing world, it is a dilemma to execute plans and strategies, to stay focused, be positive, sensitive, aware, alert, attentive, responsive, connected, curious, and resourceful at the same time.  What else is possible? How can we explore other possibilities, harness the natural flow, and navigate the shifts, whilst being dedicated to our goals and not lose momentum?

In these workshops we explore how to organise and align for joy, balance, fulfilment, success, and total wellbeing. In such a spirit we are able to discover ways on how to embrace, respond to, approach, navigate, harness, and align with emergent patterns, paradigms, and opportunities, whilst staying in dynamic flow, focused and committed to realizing intentions, aspirations, strategies, visions, missions, and goals. We get to discover the gifts of synchronicity, interconnectedness, serendipity, wisdom of the collective intelligence and wisdom, spirals of manifestation, and abundant flow.

From Change Management to Coherence Orchestration

img

From Change Management to Coherence Orchestration

To make positive meaning and sense of unexpected events, instil a sense of trust and confidence, and introduce new paradigms and processes during times of transition, add pressure on human relationships and the way we engage and communicate. Working together in new conditions requires a new level of awareness, sensitivity, and creative thinking.

In these workshops we transcend situational, contextual, relational, functional, generational, and cultural gaps created by externally imposed change, uncertainty, and fear. Personally fulfilling, meaningful, enjoyable, balanced, and impactful participatory fluidity and coherent, synchronised, aligned, and generative contributions, actions, and interactions, emerge spontaneously.

From Employee Satisfaction to Versatility Significance

img

From Employee Satisfaction to Versatility Significance

Uncertainty, instability, change, chaos, confusion, and stress can cause us to question our self-worth, abilities, value, and contributions. It is tempting to hold onto the familiar, outdated paradigms, limiting frames of reference, and self-sabotaging behavioural patterns. Fear that we will become obsolete, cannot cope, or not being able to master new required skillsets, can have a destructive effect on our emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. It directly impacts our ability to be present, aware, connected, engaged, enthused, energised, clear, and to share our contributions in a way that brings us joy and fulfilment.

In these workshops we discover ways to ignite our soul-craft, that which we contribute and bring to any type of organisation, project, assignment, and activity, regardless of our functions, roles, positions, education, or status. One person flowering in all their talents, is the flowering of life, the organisation, the land, and all its creatures. We get the opportunity to truly feel good about, enjoy and love the ability to flower, share and contribute our spark, passion, talents, energy, wisdom, insights, ideas, and presence within an organisation or group and to the world. We activate, nourish, stimulate, support, and strengthen our sense of self, a sense of fulfilment, meaning, and purpose, and our inborn abilities and sensibilities that will help us thrive in the 21st century and during times of transition.

Something to re-member…

One person flowering in all their talents is the flowering of life, the organisation, the land, and all its creatures! We are all members of this phenomenon called life! We do not create or organise alone!
